Sopoorific

Sopoorific is a musical project initiated nearly ten years ago, which remained a studio-based production until 2024 with a first live performance. Focused on creating albums in the audio cassette format, a medium particularly cherishes, the cassette is seen as a collectible object, intimate and nostalgic, with low production costs and ease of distribution.

The project now takes the form of a live, ritualized performance. Its sound universe is atmospheric, dark ambient, inspired by artists such as Zoë Dewitt (Zero Kama), Coil, and the Dungeon Synth, subgenre, known for their links to dark fantasy, video games, occultism and black metal.

The performances blend new-age electronic, folk instruments like whistles, field recordings, esoteric  vintage synths, alongside spoken and screamed incantations. This immersive experience unfolds as a cathartic, and ritualistic atmosphere.
